So unless I get some fantastic offer of a yacht before Christmas this weekend will be the last major event (not counting the Draycote 1-dayer) of the season for me (and James), we're popping over to a fairly local location of Northampton S.C:
We have the grand finale of the National Circuit, me and James were up in the top 5, not sure how we are fairing now, but a good result would be useful. Northampton always put on a good event, hopefully the winds will be fair and true rather than up and down and fluky, but we'll get what we get and sail the best of our abilities to get round the race-track as fast as we can... Steve has promised a top event and top social so we shall have to see what he magic's up.
My guess is the usual crowd and then some will be there so it really does promise to be a top weekends sailing...
Apart from the fact that I am coughing like a b'stard, think I've got a chest infection, keep getting stomach cramps and my right wrist is still freakin killing over 2 weeks after I
dis-mounted fell of the balance-board (maybe I should get it x-rayed?)...sigh... I'm not necessarily in peak physical fitness for this event :-(
The BBC 5-day Weather Guesstimate is saying sunny and 11mph, as long as it doesn't get much more my wrist should be ok... I think!
