What next?

OK so I'm boring.. as far as posting goes I've been crap over the last few weeks..sorry again...

So, I've got back into a health kick... well a health-prod anyway... prompted slightly by Tillermans On the value of Physical Conditioning post I thought I'd tell you what a very social but damned competitive sailor does to get from fat-family-man-on-the-sofa who sails occasionaly and gets knackered to better-shaped-occasional-yachter...

Cut down on beer in the week - you'll enjoy it more at the bar in the club than on yer sofa

Relax -work is crap, it stresses you..ignore work, go do your best come home and concentrate on the "life" bit of work-life-balance...try yoga, breathing, enjoying yourself..

Regular exercise - Started to walk to the sandwich shop.. 20 mins @ lunchtime is better than nothing, walk the dog more regularly... don't have a dog? chase a dog owner down the local park with a bag of crap saying "Oi! mate you forgot this!"

Fluid - If you want to be fast on the water then you've gotta be made-up of mostly water so drink it..lots of it.. not coffee, not tea but fresh water, fruit thats made of water, beer thats made with water..lots of water...

Looking back on this post makes me think that actually none of this is great advice, but hell I'm unfit and need to do something about it...this is at least a start...

Fruit smoothies are my fave. You can whizz an amount of fruit that you'd have difficulty eating into an easy drink and they taste fab.

Cool... so Fuff, whats the best recipe to get me back on top form and in the zone?

I'm rather partial to raspberries, strawberries (about half a punnet of each), vanilla or natural yoghurt, apple juice, whizzed up to the preferred consistency and down the hatch straight away cos you don't want all the nice vitamins to oxidise. Brill for waking up to and far healthier than a G&T first thing.

Oh yeah; raspberries are pretty good for you, add them with banana and you'll have enough potassium intake for a few weeks.

Thanks Fuff..as always..

I love G&T, had a great night on pure G&T's in Scotland a couple of years ago.. search for G&T on the site and you'll find the report and pics... anyway I think maybe I need to by a smoothie maker to replace the coffee machine I dont use at home... any recommendations?

A blender/liquidiser will do. They're better than smoothie makers as you can use them for other things too and don't have annoying graphics and taps on 'em.
