So Jack Johnson is the ultimate in cool music... I've loved him since "Brushfire FairyTales" and "On and On" and also his colaborative albums, he is V.kool..But every other freakin' advert this year on UK TV seems to have some chilled Jack chords or words to it...
I'm scared guys really scared that the Jack we know and love will become mainstream and loose his chill, his mellow innovation just like Moby did..do you want Jack Johnson to become the elevator music for the chilled out in the 2000's...
Didn't think so.. buy his albums, by the soundtracks, by the surfing DVD's and talk about the old tracks..but lets keep his in the cult chilled section and not in the mainstream...
Jack Johnsons music is for musics sake, the lyrics are ONLY for you and me, the rest of the uncultured gits should go and listen to Moby or some other over-refined junk.. Jack is about the sea... the surf... chilling and an affinity to the ocean and all it stands for.... if you don't really get it then give your records to someone who does..
