...Its coming...

So,

Sri Lanka 2006 Enterprise World Champs are comin' up V rapidly... preparations are starting, the boats went into the containers at the weekend and are hopefully now somewhere near a HUGE boat to take 'em to the sunny shores...

I've started to think about gettin fit... was it 4 months or 4 weeks that ol' Jim Saltonstall said you needed to get fit... jeeze I hope it was weeks...!

Had my first set of jabs next week, got my second one on Tuesday and I'll pick up the Malaria tabs then too...

I've made a list, a crap one but a list anyway of stuff I need to buy...

So, I've bought....
A new rash vest
Some new beach/board shorts
Some Gul UV short for sailing
A hat...
A cover for the iPod
Got my sandals, 2 pairs of reefs on order due early this week, need to wear them in..

So just need foreign cash (if I have any left), sun cream, after sun, books, wash stuff, travel adapter and whatever else I've forgotton to put on the list... anyone think of anything else??

Oh yeh bought a "travel guide" for Sri Lanka.. for god sake dont buy one or read one... the ones I looked at aren't too "favourable" for Negombo... bummer... words like "not swimming in the sea" (why, jeeze we'll be sailing on it!), dirty beaches, that its seedy... hotel rooms by the hour etc... O FCUK! Anyone read anything thats a little kinder???

Still, thats what the guide book might say, but I'm from England, I'm from the Midlands, if theres sand that I can sit on.. food & drink, laid back people, interesting people, sunshine, good sailing and great karma then its gotta be a hell of a lot better than here in the middle of winter...
