I've had a thought..maybe not a brilliant one, but a thought all the same...Soul Sailing & The Winning Mind. Its all about sailing at your best, keeping the boat at max boat speed without thinking and keeping yer head up, out the boat concentrating on tactics, other boats etc....

So what about if I setup a:

Soul Sailing Saturday
coaching event.....pick a club somewhere with a decent amount of H2O, get a load of sailors together (cheap entry fee) with their sheds and practise some of what the "Winning Mind" book preaches... stuff like windward leeward races with the helm "blind" one lap, crew blind the next... feeling the boat around the course.... to me it sounds like a cool idea.... there's gotta be a lot of benefits from something like that - you don't need an "official" coach, just someone to guide the day and be on hand with relevant exercises, theories etc

In keeping with the "Soul" bit, we could start at sunrise, bit of light stretching, chill-out discuss boat stuff, breakfast, sail all day, more sailing discussions, BBQ + beer at Sunset then game over....

I think we'll discuss this more another time...

Anyone out there fancy giving it a go...let me know, post a comment, ideas venues, pros and cons......
